It's More Fun In The Philippines: KALANGGAMAN ISLAND (Leyte)

Another family getaway during our week-long vacation in my parents' home province, LEYTE. My Dad had been telling stories about a beautiful island in his hometown, Palompon, Northern part of Leyte. Kalanggaman Island. An Island managed by the Local Government, the Municipality of Palompon. From the town proper, we had to ride a boat that can carry up to 15 people. There were 9 of us, including my aunt and her kids. The fees aren't really that expensive. There are three kinds of boats to choose from, according to its' capacity. 15 = Php 3,000 ; 25 = Php 3,500 ; 30 = Php 4,000 There is also an entrance fee, but it depends of the passenger/visitor is a local or a tourist. There are also discounts for students and kids 12 years old and below. The coast guard is also strict in implementing safety for the visitors of the island.
