Shakespeare and Co in Qatar has become one of the most-loved restaurant in Doha. With good dining experience shared by friends, I was lucky to have been invited to their latest branch at The Pearl.

Situated in the elegant man-made island of The Pearl in Doha-Qatar, Shakespeare and Co Restaurant is indeed another place that can satisfy your palate, your hungry tummy and even the curiousity of your eyes.

Shakespeare and Co features an amazing Victorian-concept design from its colorful and elegant interiors, table wares, furniture, lighting, curtains to small but refined details like their Maria Antoinette place mats. The restaurant surely brings you the Shakesperean era of beauty, elegance and art.

I have been meaning to visit the Shakespeare and Co at the Dar Al Salam since months ago but never got the chance to do so because of the buzz and crowd at the branch -may it be breakfast time, lunch or even dinner, the restaurant is packed all day. I remember going to Dar Al Salam for lunch two or three weeks ago with my cousin but ended up going somewhere else because of the amount of people dining and people waiting to be seated.

The invitation was for two people and so with my forever foodie buddy, my mom and I decided to go for a cozy dinner meal.
Our server was Ms. Aireen, a very accommodating and friendly staff of the Shakespeare and Co branch at The Pearl. We asked to be seated on the far corner of the restaurant, where you can simply enjoy gazing at the pretty curtains, wall designs and chandeliers, plus we got a really nice view of the whole restaurant.
We were presented the menu and because it was our first time at Shakespeare and Co, I decided to go for the recommendations shared to me by Doaa from Hungrybirds Doha.
We started our meal with two types of soup, I ordered the Mushroom soup, cream of wild mushroom with truffle oil. This might just be the best mushroom soup I've had in all my dining experience in Doha. My mom, on the other hand, ordered the Lentil soup with lemon juice and crispy Lebanese bread.

As recommended by Doaa, we got the Piri Piri Prawns and Chicken Satay. The Piri Piri Prawns offers a unique set of flavors with its tangy and spicy taste, something that would really suit as an appetizer. The Chicken Satay was tender and had the perfect peanut sauce with it, who wouldn't love skewers to start your meal?! We also got the Spicy Chicken Salad, it is a unique combination of spicy, tangy and sweet flavors tossed in an amazing plate of lettuce peppers, asparagus, complete with slices of sumptuous grilled chicken breast. The serving was good for two, and we enjoyed it!

For the main course, I got the Tenderloin Steak, cooked medium-well, served with pepper sauce and asparagus. My mom had the Filet Fish with spinach and potatoes on the side, and as a recommended by Ms. Aireen herself, we also got the Shakespeare Classic Chicken which I literally loved the most. It comes with mashed potatoes and green leaves.

Shakespeare and Co had also a page on their menu dedicated for the amazing desserts they have, and we got three kinds. The Profiteroles (also known as cream puff) was filled with smooth and creamy Vanilla ice cream topped with almonds and chocolate sauce, one serving comes with three pieces. I am a huge fan of cheesecake and so I got a slice of their fruity Cheesecake topped with fresh strawberries, berry sauce and mint. The Fondant au chocolat was highly recommended by the restaurant supervisor Mr. Rinell. Warm chocolate cake with a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream and almonds on the side.
The restaurant was kind enough to offer us coffee and so I also got a glass of Iced Americano with two shots of espresso. They also let us have two of their best-selling drinks, the Love Potion which is a mix of banana, peach, strawberry and orange. The Very Berry drink was a combination of raspberry, blueberry, orange, strawberry and peach.
We totally loved the amazing selection of quality of food and the amazing atmosphere Shakespeare and Co offers. It was a great dining experience and we even got to meet the Restaurant Manager Mr. Bashir while having our dinner. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and colleagues. Indeed, it was another amazing experience for your resident foodie!
