Today, I tried riding the new West Bay Bus service with my sister.
It's FREE and we have two bus stops near our building.
We took the Route 1 (red) bus today going to City Center and Route 2 (blue) going home.

  

Bus Stop No. 3 behind Movenpick Tower Doha

It's really convenient because my mom and my sister can take the the Route 2 (blue) bus to the office (and get off at The Gate Mall). 

This FREE service is offered by The Ministry of Transport and The Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning of Qatar. 

The West Bay Bus service has been provided to reduce the traffic congestion in West Bay brought about by the on-going road constructions in the area as it will encourage residents not to use their own cars.

The first trip starts at 6AM from bus stop No. 1 Ooredooo Tower along Corniche (with 15 minutes interval) and the last trip ends at 11:45PM.

Route 1 (red) goes from Ooreedoo Tower (bus stop no. 1) heads towards Corniche up to the General Post Office and stops at bus stop no. 21 (Sheraton Park) before heading back to bus stop no. 1.

Route 2 (blue), same as route 1, starts from Ooredoo Tower (bus stop no. 1) heads towards Dafna street to Omar Al Mukhtar street, stretches to Majlis Al Taawon street (road which houses the towers of Qatargas, RasGas, Al Fardan, QP, Qatar Olympic Committee)
and goes around the Khalifa Tennis Complex (bus stops 29, 30, 31, and 32). It goes back to Majlis Al Taawon street and Omar Al Mukhtar street,
turns right to City Center before going back to bus stop no. 1.
